Michelangelo’s David
One of the key features of Tuscany is its artwork, with Florence being the home for many of history’s best pieces. One of the most famous is the statue of David, created by Michelangelo and found in Florence’s Accademia Gallery. Standing at around 5 metres tall, the structure is perfectly carved from pure white marble, and showcases the Biblical figure, David. Head to Florence to see this architectural marvel! Built-in the 15th century and designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, this Renaissance cathedral dome is truly a breathtaking sight to see.
